Stella Chroma "Reflections" Fantasmic Flakies Group Custom
Today I have a new-to-the-blog brand that I'm excited to share: Stella Chroma. I purchased a couple shades before their rebrand, back when they were Painted Polish and I enjoyed those polishes and the one cuticle oil I tried (citrus essential oil, yum). Ever since the rebrand, I've been meaning to try more polishes, so I was very excited when Pam, the maker, reached out asking me to swatch.
Today I have just one polish, but it's a beauty! I love speckled-looking polishes, and this is no exception.
Stella Chroma "Reflections" is a February group custom for the Fantasmic Flakies Facebook Group. You must be a member of Fantasmic Flakies to buy, but it’s easy to join!
- Where to buy: Available now through the end of February in the Stella Chroma shop
- Price: $12
Maker Description: Modeled after the gorgeous picture of the lake (above), it is a creamy white with navy/teal/purple UCC flakies. It’s also got a good dose of bright blue micro flakies and blue shimmer.
3 coats + topcoat
My thoughts: Overall, I love it. I've been a fan of light colored speckled polishes, (think Cirque Hatch), for a while now, so I was excited to try this. The formula was thinner than I expected, but in a good way that made it easy to work with. I used three coats with very little cleanup, but I can see shorter nails or someone with less visible nail line easily getting away with two. I love the overall look, especially the blue spark you get from the flakes and shimmer at certain angles.
*Photo Note* Looking at my photos on my computer screen now, I think something was up with my lighting and they're leaning a little too warm. Just wanted to note that this is definitely a white base - not a cream or pale grey.
Reflections is available NOW through the end of February in the Stella Chroma shop.
