Night Owl Lacquer "Banshee Scream" - October 2017 Polish Pickup
I have a bunch of new polishes from Night Owl Lacquer to share with you, starting with their Polish Pickup shade for October 2017.
What is Polish Pickup?
From their Facebook group: "Polish Pickup offers a fun, interactive experience that allows you to submit theme ideas, vote for your favorite theme, and selectively purchase your favorite polishes every month."
Read through their FAQ page or the Facebook group for more info if you're not familiar. Basically, there is a new group-voted theme each month, you buy as many as you want, all from different makers, and you get a flat rate shipping cost of just $3 (US and Canada).
- THIS MONTH'S THEME: Monsters & Mythical Creatures
- HOW TO BUY: You can purchase this and polishes from other makers on the Polish Pickup website starting Oct. 6th at 11 AM EST thru Oct. 9th at midnight EST.
- PRICE: $12
Ok, time for swatches!
All photos in this post are taken under artificial light. The majority of photos are under direct light and the last two were taken in a light box to show off the shift. All are topped with Glisten & Glow HK Girl topcoat. These polishes were provided for my honest review.
Maker description: A black tinted linear holographic with a green/blue/purple chameleon shift, midnight sparkle flakies and lots of ultra chrome chameleon flakies in cyan/violet and jade/blue/purple.
2 coats + topcoat
This is one pretty polish! Not only is it a spot on match for the inspiration photo, but it has so many shifts that it always seems to be changing. My notes say "eerie" and it's oh so true. I mostly saw the green shift straight on, but the blue and purple come out at different angles and those shifts are easy to see. Formula was really easy to work with. I was happy with the coverage I got in two coats, but longer nails or a really opaque free edge might prefer three coats.
- This polish is spooky, totally beautiful and you need it. :)
- You can purchase it on the Polish Pickup website starting Oct. 6th at 11 AM EST thru Oct. 9th at midnight EST for $12
